Got a Volt and $34,000?
". . . it is now being reported that it could cost anywhere from $3,400 up to $34,000 to replace the ‘drive motor replacement battery. Chevrolet dealerships in Los Angeles and Grand Rapids were called and asked for a quote to replace the battery unit in a 2012 Chevy Volt. They were given quotes that ranged from $3,400 to $34,000 depending on exactly what needed to be done and they needed to see the vehicle in order to ascertain what repairs needed to be done."
