Ice Age

Ice Age
The old glacial-geologists back in my college days warned that a new ice age could happen at any time and start as just as this cold snap has, cold that never let's up.

I have never burnt more wood than I have in the last few weeks to keep the pipes from freezing in this house. It is as if there isn't even walls and a roof.

RE: Ice Age
Same here, the wood people looked pretty good up until this cold spell. I even bought heating oil for the first time in 3-4 years. We haven't been out to haul our traps since before Christmas, I feel for anyone that has to be outdoors in this weather.

RE: Ice Age
So maybe the ice age that was promised to us in the 70s has finally arrived.

RE: Ice Age
I'm hearing less and less about being an idiot for buying a green 10 cord lot this spring lately. Where's Algore when you need him-not that anyone ever really has.

When Niagara Falls starts freezing I guess you have to be convinced.

RE: Ice Age
The corrupt politicians who corrupted the scientists in the global warming camp have made their profit and now need to move on and President Donald Trump will help them out the door.
See below for some comments from one Terry Hughes…..” Hughes, a professor emeritus of earth sciences and climate change at the University of Maine…..”

““Too many (the majority) of climate research scientists are quite willing to prostitute their science by giving these politicians what they want,” he said.”

There are mature college educated adults in your community who believe in ‘global warming’, and who are convinced the 0.04% of CO2 molecules up there in the atmosphere are the cause of increasing global temperatures, which have not increased for 19 years. http://www.climatedepot.com/2016/07/08/j...-nov-1997/

While much of the debate over climate change surrounds whether or not it is occurring, one glaciologist and retired professor says the real issue is that the topic is being used as a political pawn to siphon money and votes.
Dr. Terry Hughes, in an interview with The College Fix, said researchers want to keep federal funding for climate change alive, and politicians want to earn environmentalist votes, and both predict global pandemonium to that end.

Hughes, a professor emeritus of earth sciences and climate change at the University of Maine, said for years his colleagues urged him to be in lockstep with former Vice President Al Gore – “the drum major in the parade denouncing global warming as an unmitigated disaster,” he told The College Fix.

But Hughes – who believes global warming is actually a good thing because more carbon dioxide is good for the environment in many ways – said he does not want to march to that beat.

“Too many (the majority) of climate research scientists are quite willing to prostitute their science by giving these politicians what they want,” he said.

About CRUTEM
CRUTEM is a dataset derived from air temperatures near to the land surface recorded at weather stations across all continents of Earth. It has been developed and maintained by the Climatic Research Unit since the early 1980s, with funding provided mostly by the US Department of Energy. The lead scientist for most of this work was Professor Phil Jones, though many colleagues have also contributed. In recent years, the Met Office Hadley Centre (MOHC) have also been involved, especially in the regular updating of the operational version of CRUTEM (current version CRUTEM4). CRUTEM has been combined with the MOHC's dataset of sea surface temperatures to provide a near-global dataset of temperatures across Earth's surface, called HadCRUT. For example, the current version HadCRUT4 combines CRUTEM4 and HadSST3. These datasets have been widely used for assessing the possibility of anthropogenic climate change.

Professor Phil Jones you say….

Name sounds familiar….like the one in the climate-gate expose where the emails among the corrupt scientists that were manipulating the data to advocate for man-made global warming by presenting CO2 as a threat requiring more funding to ‘study’ that threat were revealed.
http://tomnelson.blogspot.com/p/climategate_05.html

Funding ‘provided by US’ taxpayer dollars you say.
• Email 3016, Oct 2008, Phil Jones: We earn money the old-fashioned way: We write government proposals for it

Assessing the possibility of anthropogenic climate change. Bullshit.

It is not possible for 0.04% of the dry gases up there to control anything global….and it’s global warming…..not climate change. The corrupt members of the scientific community selected the term to create a perception.
The perception being that if you don’t give the junk scientists money, you will suffer the consequences of ….”global warming” as described by al gore, and which has remained stable for 19 years. The junk scientists have already incorrectly assumed the possibility is 100%. Drain the swamp.

RE: Ice Age
Thank God for fuel injection. The cars I grew up with would have lots of trouble starting these cold mornings, but our 15 year old Pontiac fires right up. Block heaters - which many people had on cars years ago must be relegated to diesel vehicles mostly now.
Wood stoves are better now too. The old smoky Wonderwood would cut off combustion air with a bimetallic thermostat. My 1999 wood stove with catalysts mostly vents moisture when it's running and it's very efficient too.
Some things get better than what I remembered in my youth.

Repeating for the sake of clarity:

Sounds like we are going into a repetition of the medieval little ice age that followed their global warming in the 1300-1400 period. Not really much new under the sun 600 years later. Some of us just call it weather and spare the world all the manipulative drama better known as horse shit.
