As soon as I figure out what it is you're trying to say, I'll answer your questions, Island Girl.

In the meantime, try diction lessons.

RE: South Portland wants to become a Sanctuary City
The correct term for enabling or comitting the crime shown above is "misprision of felony". This federal crime has a penalty of five years in federal prison. If the mayor of South Portland does not reconsider his opinion and actually commits the crime he should expect a visit by a federal SWAT team. He will be hustled out to a waiting Blackhawk helicopter for a ride to the C-130 at Pease for a flight to Gitmo to await trial. His court appointed attorney can catch the shuttle to Gitmo to visit his client.

This is not the Obama Administration any more.

UPDATE on LD 366, “An Act to Ensure Compliance with Federal Immigration Law by State and Local Government Entities”

The vote was originally scheduled for last Wednesday, however the Judiciary Committee tabled LD 366 until Wednesday, May 3rd at 9 AM. Rep. Larry Lockman met with Republican committee members prior to Wednesday’s work session, and they agreed to amend LD 366. The new version is laser focused on removing the barriers that prevent local law enforcement officers in Maine from sharing information about criminal suspects with federal immigration authorities (ICE).

In particular, the section titled “Transportation of aliens” (Section 25003.5) has been removed, as well as the “Private right of action for personal injury or wrongful death” (Section 25006). Those are important pieces we can go after separately as we continue to build momentum and add victories.

With this extra time, it’s extremely important that we keep contacting members of the Judiciary Committee urging them to pass LD 366 as amended. For your convenience, the following list of committee members has their email addresses and telephone numbers.

This grassroots effort will only succeed through our polite and principled persistence.

RE: South Portland wants to become a Sanctuary City
Be careful what you commit to. San Francisco said they would help illegals to continue to break the law, they messed up and a person who was illegally in the country got arrested for the crime. Now that person sued the city and won because they failed to prevent the arrest.
What goes around comes around.

San Francisco to pay $190G to undocumented immigrant over sanctuary law violation, lawyer says

"What happened to me was very unfair and it was an injustice," Figueroa-Zerceno said. "I went into the police station to seek help and they didn't tell me what was happening and they arrested me and treated me badly."

Crime drops in Phoenix after city drops sanctuary city status, former cops say

"When we eliminated our sanctuary policy back in 2008, we saw crime, violent and stolen vehicles fall by 25 percent," he recalled. "We saw a 20-year low crime rate. When we were allowed and had the discretion to contact our federal immigration partners, crime fell drastically."

RE: South Portland wants to become a Sanctuary City
Tucker on SF's $190K Payout to Illegal Immigrant: 'You Shouldn't Pay a Criminal for Breaking the Law'

"If I'm wanted for tax evasion in another state and the San Francisco police turn me over to the feds, why shouldn't I be able to sue the city of San Francisco for cooperating with the federal authorities?" he asked. "Why do only illegal aliens have this privilege in your city?
http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/06/30/tu...grant-190k

My guess it's based on polical ideology or potential polical ideology. I can't imagine SF giving a conservative illegal much help let alone money. But then again, maybe there aren't as many conservatives illegally sneaking into the country or need support. Maybe they say "The system is broken" because more self reliant conservative immigrants come through the front door as per law and the "give me freebies" liberal illegals sneak in the back door against the law? Let's take a poll on that. I am guessing the DNC already knows the results of that poll.
