RE: 2017 is right-to-work's watershed year
The issue is, money in your pocket vs. the union leader/progressive politician. No one should be forced to pay money to be employed and support their family, what about choice?

"Choice" is the most critical part of this issue for me, and that's exactly what will be decided in the upcoming SCOTUS case called Janus vs. AFSCME.

We should have the choice to support corrupt organizations like SEIU, as illustrated recently in the articles posted at:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/11/02/big...aders.html

and http://chicagoist.com/2017/10/25/fight_f...for_se.php

and http://freebeacon.com/issues/ex-seiu-emp...-harassed/

or NOT financially support an organization against our will in order to keep a job. We live in the USA, after all, not communist China!

To the left, only certain choices such as murdering children are ok

RE: 2017 is right-to-work's watershed year
February 26, 2018 --> IMPORTANT DATE

U.S. Supreme Court sets date to hear right-to-work case
Dec 20, 2017

“The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments Feb. 26 in an Illinois case that could change labor law across the country.

Janus vs. AFSCME challenges a 40-year-old precedent that has allowed state and local governments to require their employees to pay a portion of their salaries to a union whether they want to or not.

Attorneys for both sides will argue before the country's highest court and answer questions from the justices at the hearing. A decision is expected this summer.”

-------------------------------------------

The decision in this case will impact millions of workers all across our USA, and it could finally make Forced Unionism illegal in our public-sector workplaces.

Thank you Mark Janus for fighting this fight!

Getting kind of late for 2017 becoming a “watershed” year for right-to-work. You’ll have to change the thread title in a few days.

Actually, since MF’s views are mired so deeply in the past, 2017 is still a ways off.

RE: 2018 could be a great year for US workers
We're fortunate to have some very smart politicians working for us in Augusta, but we also seem to have a large group of them which need some serious guidance and require constant monitoring. This isn't rocket science, but the following article is full of facts that deserve action by Maine legislators:

“If states want to be competitive and create jobs for their workers, they need to embrace right-to-work policies. It’s working in 27 states, and state officials owe it to their constituents.”

Read more facts @ https://www.newsmax.com/finance/nealasbu...id/842515/

Please share this article with your local Maine legislators no matter which party they associate with.
